VA House of Delegates races

List of candidates by VA House District

All 100 House seats are up for election in 2017. Virginia state delegates serve two-year terms, with all seats up for election every two years.

Now there are Dem candidates running in these districts

District 12 (Montgomery County, Giles County, Radford City, Pulaski County)
District 100 (Accomack County, Norfolk, Northampton County)
District 10 (Loudoun, Frederick and Clarke Counties)
District 94 (Newport News)
District 68 (Chesterfield and Henrico Counties; Richmond City)
District 40 (Fairfax and Prince William Counties)
District 42 (Fairfax County)

There is now a Democratic candidate running in District 33 (Loudoun, Clarke, Frederick). It tilts red but winnable by a democrat, the incumbent is a an extremist who's sponsored legislation requiring burials for aborted fetuses and wrote an op-ed saying "gay people shouldn't be teachers." He shouldn't be allowed to run unopposed! Loudoun Dems are looking for a candidate.

The deadline for the Democratic primary is March 30th. That means we have less than two months to help shape this race. Please spread the word.

If the 2017 Virginia elections show Democrats expanding their base, it will send a signal nationwide as to the vulnerability of Republicans around Trump.

2017 is the 2018 warmup. But Democrats can't expand their power if they aren't even on the ballot.
