Local volunteer training

These well-attended training sessions have been organized by Kim Smith. Similar trainings are being planned for the near future.
  • Letter To Editor training
Everyone can write a letter, but not everyone gets it published in a major newspaper or online magazine. Learn from a pro how to capture editors' attention. There will be a breakout session to gain immediate experience and you will be sent home with an assignment.
  • Organizing in a Trump Presidency
This political crisis isn't going away. We will need skills beyond canvassing and phone banking. So, how do we do that? This training, will help you to identify leaders within your volunteer community, conduct 1:1 meetings, and organize purposeful house parties.
  • Civil Disobedience training
There are some tough times ahead. I doubt any of us are looking for problems, but I'm kinda thinking we should be prepared. I suspect many of us will change our opinions of what's necessary in the months and years ahead.

Kim's also working to set-up additional trainings in Messaging, Lobbying State Legislators, Lobbying Congress and Federal Departments, Fundraising, Digital Messaging, and more.
